Course Description:Â
This course covers research around the effects of stress and sleep on the body, how that impacts the way we function and live in general. The course then shifts and focuses on research around self-care and improving how we can better manager our stress and sleep in order to be more joyful, effective and fulfilled in our work and personal lives.
By the conclusion of this workshop, participants will:
- At least one negative effect of stress
- Describe the impact lack of sleep has on themselves
- At least one self-care strategy
About the Trainer:
Lauren McCabe, with over 15 years of dedicated service in behavioral health, has a journey that spans direct service, program development, leadership, training, and facilitation, embodying a passion for making a positive impact. Possessing a master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Lauren is deeply rooted in mental health stigma reduction and trauma-informed care for employees and clients alike. Her professional journey is further enhanced by her certification as a Life Coach, adding a valuable dimension to her expertise. In her role at Community Solutions, Lauren brings a holistic approach to fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace environment. Lauren values internal agency synergy and best practices, mirroring the parallel process of standards of client care. When she’s not in work mode, Lauren is a Bay Area sports enthusiast. But her real MVPs? That’s her husband and two little girls.
