CelebratingFamilies!™ (CF!) is an evidence-based, trauma-informed, whole-family recovery program. Through a cognitive behavioral, support group model, CF! introduces and strengthens the skills necessary to live a safe, healthy, and contented life. With parents in new-found recovery, the focus is preventing children’s future addiction, as well as improving the mental and physical health for everyone in the family. CF! has been shown by outside evaluators to strengthen recovery, improve family re-unification and increase healthy living skills for families impacted by addiction, family violence, child abuse and neglect. This training is for professionals and potential volunteers who are interested in learning how to facilitate this 16-session evidence-based support group model for families affected by addiction.
By the conclusion of this workshop, participants will:
- Gain knowledge and understanding about alcohol, drug and brain chemistry, domestic violence risk and protective factors and how addiction affects the whole family.
- Understand and implement the fundamentals and framework unique to the implementation of the CF! program
- Develop their own connection with the CF! material and begin planning for implementation in their organization and/or community
- Demonstrate ability to co-facilitate the 16-week program virtually or in-person to fidelity
